What tools should we have in our environment toolbox?
Down South, we're busy getting ready to find out what tools people think we need for four environmental issues: rats, wilding pines, myrtle rust and varroa mite.
What will happen if you come along?
We'll sit you around a table in small group. On the table will be a landscape, a tool box, and a variety of cards.
These are all there to support your conversations about what you'd like to see in Aotearoa New Zealand's environment tool box.
Should we use gene techs? If not, why not?
If so, which ones? With what rules, guidelines and systems of oversight?
What do we need to be cautious about?
And, did I mention? Refreshments will be provided!
We'd love to see you at one of these events:
9th April, 6-7.30 pm, Dunningham Suite, 4th floor, Dunedin Public Library, 230 Moray Place, Central Dunedin.
10th of April, 12.30 - 2, Otago Room, OUSA building, 84 Albany st, Dunedin North.
We are also running sessions on the 8th of April in Queenstown and Milton. If you'd like to come along to one of those, please email Vicki at vicki.macknight@otago.ac.nz
